Description
An indicator, also known as a voltage tester or electrical tester, is the most common tool used to determine whether an electrical circuit is live. It is primarily used by electricians, DIY enthusiasts, and technicians to check for the presence of electric current in wires, junction boxes, and other electrical components. When the test pen touches a bare wire or component, it completes the circuit between the current and the user's body, causing a small amount of current to flow through it. If current is present, the light inside the pen illuminates.
